So this happened…

Pants

A new word in the 26 Words saga.

As of now, nearly everyone on this Pale Blue Dot has been affected by our new friend, COVID-19. And when I say friend, I am using that term as I would have back in my twenties when my pal Topher Richardson would come to “hang” at my tiny apartment in one of the more murdery neighborhoods of New Orleans. And by “hang,” I mean he would crash for days on end whilst eating all my peanut butter and drinking all the Barq’s root beer. So now that you understand the terms under which i’m using the word “friend” (isn’t language wonderful?), let us continue. Now that COVID-19 has invaded all of our lives like my pal Topher Richardson back in ‘91, we’ve got a lot of time on our hands to do the things we’ve always wanted to do: binge watch Love Boat, learn to play GO, watch other people play video games on YouTube (thank you Perifractic), get the high score on Defender (sorry, Logan) and wash our hands a thousand times a day. That alone eats up a large portion of the day’s activity time. Get the mail, wash hands, open the mail, wash hands, pet the dog, wash hands, make a peanut butter sandwich, wash hands, search for more game play videos on YouTube, wash hands.

But there’s a little bit of time left over each day and that time, at least for right now, is being devoted to writing a new episode of 26 Words. It will be a COVID-19 edition episode as Mark and I are going to film it in the midst of all this insanity. In fact, we will film it from the safety of our own respective domains. So that will be interesting. And lonely. But we will persevere.

I can’t say much about the episode other than it’s going to be about a word. And that word is PANTS! Yes, PANTS! Say it with me. PANTS! Isn’t that fun?

PANTS!

We have a deadline to finish this new episode, but I dare not say what it is as then we’d have to stick to it. But it will be soonish. Until then, feel free to chime in with your thoughts on the word PANTS. You might even want to do a little research on your own to discover what to expect in this upcoming televisual feast.
